Description: Website states: Our restaurant shares a name with the highway that runs from Naples to Canosa, Puglia. True to our namesake, we gather our inspiration from southern Italy, particularly Campania, the region surrounding Naples. Chef David Taylor oversees the menu, which features fresh pasta, house-butchered and house-cured meats and authentic Neapolitan pizza. Complementing the rustic menu, Wine Director/owner Shelley Lindgren selects wines that highlight the indigenous grapes from Campania and nearby regions.

Since we opened A16 in February, 2004, we’ve had the honor of welcoming several renowned Italian winemakers for wine dinners and special events. We also celebrate local farmers and purveyors by partnering with organizations such as Outstanding in the Field, Roots of Change and Slow Food.

Overview:

We had a late reservation and the place was packed. We ordered the burrata which was fantastic, the margherita pizza was amazing, and the squid ink pasta with sea urchin was excellent. We also had the panna cotta for dessert which was good. I will be going back to A16! This may soon be a favorite.

Overview:

I ventured into A16 craving a classic Italian Pizza. The restaurant looks petite from the outside but stretches further back. The cozy feel of the back room pleased me!

I contemplated between the Margherita (my favorite pizza) and Bianca pizza (which I have never tried before). I ended up going with the Bianca pizza, and was I impressed! It had the perfect thinness along with fennel sausage, mozzarella, and padano (Italian hard cheese). All of the ingredients made the perfect combination.

My meal concluded with homemade gelato, taking me straight back to Italy...

A16 was a pleasurable experience. The service was outstanding and the food exceeded my expectations!
